About the Team
ACCEL Schools is seeking a highly qualified Federal Grants and MTSS Manager. This manager will serve as a key member of the school leadership team and will be responsible for identifying short and long-term data needs / goals and reporting strategies across the organization with special focus on student trajectory toward a four-year graduation rate and tracking of our students. The Federal Grants and MTSS Manager will work with the administration to develop an MTSS Framework, strategic Title Plan, and implement the framework and plan across the K-12 system while working with teachers, coaches, and families to ensure that students are progressing toward schoolwide goals.
ELIGIBILITY : This position is open to residents of West Virginia.
About the Opportunity
- Provide input for the development of the MTSS Framework and implementation of Title programming (Title 1, 2 and 4)
- Implement the MTSS Framework and ensure implementation of Title Programming.
- Provide professional development to staff as requested and collecting agendas, sign in sheets, and program materials
- Monitor the staff's implementation of the MTSS Framework and Title program implementation
- Adhere to the parameters put forth in the MTSS Framework
- Maintain documentation to include, MTSS Framework, referrals forms, meeting forms, intervention resources for staff, and other necessary collateral that demonstrates a fidelity of implementation.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the Virtual Prep Academy of WV staff about strategic programming through MTSS and Title
- Collaborate on data collection and provide data analysis and tier recommendations for all students
- Facilitate meaningful SAT meetings with all stakeholders
- Facilitate the WVMTSS Team members, weekly meetings, and information
- Serve as a resource for research-based interventions during WVTSS meetings
- Stay current with WVTSS and alert leadership of any notable changes
- Maintain organized and accurate student records and progress monitoring based on instructional plans
- Maintain specialist class lists according to the parameters put forth in the Framework
- Always maintain confidentiality
- Complete documentation daily, which includes meeting notes and phone logs
- Completes MTSS monthly reports, as needed
- Attend team meetings and school-wide meetings
- Provide remediation, as needed
- Participate fully in all professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with General and Special Education teachers to develop individual academic plans
- Collaborate with Success Coaches on individual Success Plans
- Create and deliver family workshops as needed
- Provide instructional strategies to other members of the school when necessary
- Attend face-to-face events when necessary, such as beginning and end-of-year events and state testing
- Other responsibilities as deemed necessary and appropriate
- Works closely with staff and stakeholders across the organization to gather and distribute data
- Provides in-depth analysis and reports in support of key education-related decisions and goals
- Consults with staff and stakeholders to develop technology solutions in response to educational and operational needs, works closely with colleagues to accurately quantify issues in terms of data to problem-solve more effectively
- Collaborates with organizational and school-level team leaders to develop and oversee training and implementation of processes that maximize operational efficiency and meet internal and external requirements
- Makes recommendations on the selection and implementation of new systems
- Analyzes data with standard statistical methods, interprets the results, and provides written summary of analyses, shares knowledge of analysis techniques and data coding with others
- Communicates and collaborates with school team in discussing business intelligence needs and functional requirements
- Assists in gathering and presenting data needed for authorizer and board requests
- Collaborates with stakeholders to design and develop statistical analyses which address projected research questions; conducts research and collects data that helps to identify root cause and program development
- Participates in ongoing decisions concerning data collections, study design, methodology, and data analysis; identifies, develops, and proposes alternative data metrics
- Collaborates with the leadership team on the creation of a school-wide data governance plan and data management policies and procedures
- Monitors and analyzes data from various assessment and instructional systems
- Creates and maintains dashboards, trackers, and various data visualizations for assessment and instructional data to inform the work of teachers and administrators
- Supports teachers with actionable data to inform classroom instruction
- Works with Success Coaches, Principals, and teachers to create and implement data based instructional plans
- Trains and supports teachers in data literacy and data driven instructional practices
- Supports teacher data meetings
- Performs all other job duties as assigned
