Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Body Shop Mechanic to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for welding, fabrication, equipment installation, and a wide range of mechanical and structural repairs for truck bodies and trailers. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong communication and teamwork skills to support a high-performing, customer-focused shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, grinding, cutting, drilling, and fabrication work on truck bodies, frames, and trailers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and structural issues on commercial vehicles and equipment.
- Install and maintain truck body components and equipment using welders, acetylene/oxygen torches, power tools, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Execute repairs to trailer roofs, tops, rails, and electrical wiring systems.
- Operate safely and efficiently in varying conditions, including crouching, climbing, standing, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Maintain shop equipment and tools; report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
