Job Summary
This role involves working under the supervision of teachers to support students with behavioral challenges. You will be responsible for:
Providing Instructional Support
- Providing supplemental instruction to individual students or small groups
- Developing and using materials to enhance learning
Behavioral Intervention
- Monitoring student behavior and communication
- Redirecting inappropriate behaviors
- Administering behavior intervention programs
Social and Emotional Development
- Helping students build social skills
- Fostering healthy concepts
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least eighteen years of age
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to support the program
- Meet paraprofessional requirements as defined in IDAPA 08.02.02
