Job Summary:
Behavioral Aides support students with behavioral challenges under teacher supervision. We seek a dedicated Paraprofessional with experience working with students, strong math and literacy education skills, and ability to manage classroom behavior.
Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Provide supplemental instruction to individual students or small groups
- Behavior: Monitor student behavior, redirect inappropriate behaviors, and administer behavior intervention programs
- Social and Emotional Development: Help students build social skills and foster healthy concepts
- Clerical: Assist teachers in developing materials, prepare instructional materials, and maintain student records
- Problem-Solving: Participate in the Problem-Solving Model-Response to Intervention process to determine intervention plans and IEP services
- Communication: Attend team meetings and provide input on student strengths and weaknesses
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to support assigned program
- Meet paraprofessional requirements as defined in IDAPA 08.02.02
