Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the definition of the system architecture, design, interfaces, risks, and tradeoff analysis supporting product development objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature specifications, collect requirements from all relevant partners, and make decisions about implementation tradeoffs
- Support selection and characterization of DSP, RF IC, and photonic ICs and subassemblies.
- Coordinate with external partners and the internal team to drive the hardware platform development
- Review and oversee engineering verification plans and tests, ensuring designs meet product objectives
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to team members
- Own link budgets and penalty allocations for optical transceiver products.
