Description
The Software Test Engineer will have the opportunity to participate in the product development and support of Accelerate's integrated microbiology diagnostic systems. This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the software by executing tests, identifying issues, and collaborating with team members to solve issues. The successful candidate's attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work within deadlines will contribute to the success of the software development process.
This position is on-site in our Tucson, Arizona facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Test Engineers design and execute tests to thoroughly evaluate software functionality and performance. They work with development to create software that meets business needs and quality standards. Their responsibilities include :
- Test planning : Create test plans, scripts, and procedures, including the design of test environments, test strategies, and test cases.
- Test execution : Perform functional (black box / white box / gray box), performance, usability, security, acceptance, and regression testing using automated or manual procedures at all levels of testing (Unit, Integration, System, Regression)
- Test documentation : Document detailed test procedures and software defects using an issue tracking system to ensure consistency and compliance with standards.
- Test results : Report test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders.
- Retesting : Repeat testing of software to ensure previously identified issues have been resolved and new features have not introduced new defects.
- Teamwork : Work together with development teams to create products that align with customer marketing requirements. Collaborate with cross-function teams to provide software support and 3rd-level customer support.
