Position Summary
The Digital Product Manager of the Advertising Program for LA's STAP will be responsible for leading and driving the revenue growth of the advertising program within the transit shelter network across Los Angeles. This DPM reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is based in the Los Angeles, CA market. This position requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities, creativity, and a deep understanding of both traditional and digital advertising platforms. The DPM will be instrumental in meeting and exceeding revenue goals for core static inventory, launching new creative advertising formats, supporting the sales team, and overseeing the transition to digital offerings. This individual must be proactive, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift rapidly.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in advertising sales, media sales, or a related field, with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding revenue targets.At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a managerial role, specifically in managing sales teams, driving revenue, and developing creative solutions.Experience with digital advertising platforms, transitions from traditional to digital formats, and integrated advertising campaigns.Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and support a diverse sales team.Expertise in creating and selling dynamic advertising packages, from static formats to advanced digital solutions.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.High level of adaptability and flexibility in response to shifting goals, priorities, and market conditions.Proficiency in CRM systems, advertising software, and data analytics tools.Ability to attend meetings across the city and visit various advertising locations or sites.Occasional travel to meet with clients, vendors, and partners.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with outdoor advertising, transit advertising, or public space advertising formats is highly desirable and is preferred.Familiarity with digital signage and programmatic advertising technologies is preferred.Strong understanding of the LA market and its unique advertising dynamics is preferred.What You'll Do
Revenue Management & Strategy
Lead the advertising program's revenue goals by ensuring consistent performance of core static inventory.Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth across multiple product categories (static, digital, etc.).Monitor sales performance regularly, analyze trends, and optimize pricing strategies to meet or exceed revenue objectives.Collaborate with senior leadership and city partners to align revenue targets with broader organizational goals.Collaborate with sales reps across all teams to develop competitive advertising packages, tailored to clients' needs, including both static and digital options.Provide guidance on how to effectively pitch and sell the STAP advertising inventory, ensuring high closing rates and repeat business.Innovation & New Format Development
Spearhead the creation of new and innovative advertising formats within the transit shelter environment, ensuring they are both effective and aligned with market demand.Work closely with creative teams, clients, and external vendors to develop and launch cutting-edge advertising opportunities that differentiate the STAP program in the marketplace.Explore new media integrations, creative solutions, and technologies to enhance the overall advertising offerings.Digital Transition Management
Oversee the rollout of the digital conversion of the advertising inventory, ensuring smooth implementation, system integration, and the transition of both static and digital assets.Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to roll out new digital formats while meeting operational deadlines and maintaining strong revenue performance.Act as a key liaison between technical teams, sales teams, city partners, and senior management to ensure the digital infrastructure meets the needs of advertisers and the business.Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Flexibility
Work closely with marketing, operations, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns and product offerings.Adapt to changing goals, market conditions, and business needs, adjusting strategies and plans accordingly to meet evolving business objectives.Ensure effective communication and cooperation between teams, particularly as goals and priorities shift throughout the year.Performance Reporting & Analysis
Track and report on advertising program performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership on progress towards revenue goals, challenges, and opportunities.Use data insights to optimize advertising strategies, formats, and sales approaches, ensuring the program stays competitive in the market.Analyze competitor strategies and market trends to stay ahead of industry changes and to inform strategic decisions.
