Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team at Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating and modifying 2D electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify 2D electrical drawings, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Utilize SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical to create accurate and detailed CAD electrical drawings.
- Work on 3D CAD designs as needed, with a preference for SolidWorks but also considering other parametric software like Creo or Inventor.
- Support customer projects by generating high-quality CAD electrical drawings.
- Maintain and expand the electrical component database.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to optimize designs and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NEC, UL 508A, IEC, etc.).
- Assist with product testing and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Five years of experience in electrical design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Understanding of electrical codes and wiring techniques.
- Experience with PLC programming and circuit tracing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
