We are seeking a Project Analyst to provide essential support for portfolio-related projects, ensuring effective project tracking, coordination, and communication. This role is critical for organizing and monitoring project timelines, deliverables, and resources. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in project management software, and able to support cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.
Location/Travel:
This will be a full-time on-site role at DOE HQ in Maryland.
Duties and responsibilities could include:
- Assist with the coordination of project schedules, tasks, and milestones using MS Project and other project management tools.
- Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project progress reports.
- Provide support in resource allocation and tracking project budgets through ERP systems.
- Coordinate communication across multiple project teams, ensuring stakeholders are updated on project status.
- Help track and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as necessary.
- Assist in managing project changes and ensuring proper documentation.
- Support senior project management staff with project planning and execution.
- Organize and attend project meetings, ensuring all necessary materials and reports are prepared in advance.
- Maintain project data on SharePoint, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Monitor project costs and commitments to ensure alignment with budget, identifying discrepancies and addressing issues proactively.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, ERP systems, and MS Project.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Previous experience supporting government, defense, and energy project teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with NNSA or similar nuclear-related projects is desirable.
