We’re seeking a Data Center & Cloud Architect who can design and manage our data center and cloud infrastructure. This role involves strategic planning and hands-on support during operations. You'll be responsible for architecting scalable, secure systems that support our business needs. When required, you’ll also step in as a Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer, handling troubleshooting, optimization, and guiding the team through complex challenges.
What You will Spark at Amplify:
- Design & Architecture: Develop and implement robust data center and cloud architectures that align with our business objectives.
- Operational Support: Act as the go-to Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer during operations, resolving issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring uptime.
- Hybrid Infrastructure: Design and manage hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments effectively.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards across all environments.
- Cost & Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources to balance cost efficiency with high performance.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud and data center operations.
- Project Leadership: Lead projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering skill development and team growth.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- 7 years in cloud engineering and data center management.
- At least 3 years in an architecture or senior engineering role.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including networking and virtualization.
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
- Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several projects at one time.
Certifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, or Google Cloud Architect preferred.
Additional certifications in networking or data center technologies are a plus.
This position is domiciled in Byhalia, MS.
