The Peoplesoft Campus Solutions Techno Functional Consultant is a technical leader that designs and builds solutions specific for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application and drives the efficiency and effectiveness of our growing SIS team to help them thrive while ensuring best practices. The Consultant works closely with Product Owners, taking business requirements and transforming them into technical specifications, then identifying and configuring technical solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecting technical solutions for the Student Information system, including gathering requirements and developing technical specifications.
Developing integrations and customizations, including some complex programming at a senior level.
Conducting retrofit analysis during patch fixes and application upgrades.
Addressing complex production issues.
Providing production support as necessary.
Investigate and resolve software issues and defects reported, work with technical analysts to research problems and find and implement solutions.
Providing operation optimization opportunities as appropriate.
Ensuring the quality of deliverables by conducting unit testing and supporting system testing.
Mentoring junior PeopleSoft developers as needed.
Work closely with IT staff to mentor, advise, and help build their knowledge in the Peoplesoft
Work closely with Integration Teams across different departments in designing ,architecting and solutioning of an application using industry best practices and methodologies
Managing a Team of resources ,Their work allocation , prioritization as necessary.
Provide project leadership and management as required or directed
Organize, lead, and manage meetings involving management and key stakeholders.
Establish and implement SDLC processes for all phases of the project.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Minimum 8 years of PeopleSoft technical developer experience, which includes a minimum of 5 years of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Any relevant education, certifications and / or work experience may be considered.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong work ethic, responsibility, and dedication.
Strong initiative and leadership skills.
Proven experience in the full life cycle of developing, testing, and supporting applications within a PeopleSoft environment.
K nowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions at a senior level.
Development experience in PeopleSoft, including Application Packages, Application Engine, SQR, Application Designer, Integration Broker, Web Services (REST and SOAP), PeopleCode, Security, and PeopleTools 8.56 .
Ability to evaluate existing PeopleSoft customizations / integrations, make recommendations, and implement as needed.
Knowledgeable about the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions data model.
Experience with relational databases, including proficiency with Oracle SQL.
Work collaboratively with the functional team and others to formalize PeopleSoft solutions for enhancements and troubleshoot PeopleSoft production issues.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience and knowledge in systems analysis, application administration, testing, and implementation of complex systems.
Self-motivated with a high commitment to excellence, cooperation, and team achievement.
Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across technical and functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to provide expert level guidance in the areas of analysis and design of systems ,analysis of technology platforms ,implementation approaches, project strategies , project development methodology , application enhancement methodology
Ability to Assist with applications ,software products, system development and implementation ,customization of business processes Ability to work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
Skills to assess business procedures and develop, implement and maintain customized Peoplesoft solutions.
Highly developed problem-solving skills.
Effectively manages scope and expectations on individual assignments Follows through on all assignments and takes ownership of the issues
Experience with JavaScript and CSS is a plus.
Nice to Have
One or more relevant Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP)
