Job Summary

Assemblers perform an array of tasks to build and assemble plastic panels and frames used for containment, including manual assembly of large plastic panels and aluminum frames using hands and small cordless drills. This is a full-time, first shift position, required to work ten-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Build product in the correct and most cost-effective manner, ensuring alignment with quality necessities and specifications.
• Perform quality checks on parts and assembled panels.
• Learn about various types of building materials and technical terms to ensure future growth and knowledge.
• Follow all job tracking procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines set forth by the company.
• Follow all company policies in accordance with the employee handbook.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Requires pulling, pushing, cutting, lifting and moving parts between 25-50 pounds.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions and execute with thoroughness and follow-through.

Experience

• At least one year of previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

This position works in a warehouse setting and performs manual labor tasks within a manufacturing environment. This role uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers, hand drills, scissors and stretch wrapper.

While performing the duties of this job:

• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• The employee is frequently required to use substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• The employee is frequently required to be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at an assigned area.
• The employee is required to maneuver to and in all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing floor.
• The employee is frequently required to lift and carry up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
