Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring efficient inventory management, strategic sourcing, and driving cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience with direct materials and operations in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their career with our rapidly expanding company.
Responsibilities
- Daily Tactical Responsibilities: Manage the placement of purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system. Update project management software on PO status.
- Ownership fulfillment of ordered material to program and shop managers.
- Cost Justification and Competitive Analysis: Ensure cost justification and perform competitive analysis to secure the best deals.
- Identify and qualify alternative sources of supply, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement processes to support production needs.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, ensuring optimal inventory turnover and availability.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify and implement strategies to reduce costs within the supply chain, including negotiating better terms with suppliers and optimizing sourcing strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Engineering/Solutions, Buying, Planning, Inventory, and Production Teams to streamline processes and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop reports to communicate findings and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in Supply Chain and Materials Management
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with specific experience with MRP/ERP, planning, production & inventory control, and sourcing/procurement. Epicor Kinetic preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and data driven expertise to make decisions.
- Project Management, Operational Excellence, and/or Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Miamisburg, OH: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
