CAD Drafter

Position Summary

The CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Drafter uses software to create digital drawings and draft production and job specific drawings from engineers, which are necessary to fabricate and install Accelevation’s complete product offering.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret drawings and sketches.
• Create and modify models, assemblies, and drawings for manufacturing.
• Create formal production drawings using company drafting standards.
• Other tasks as requested by the Director of Product Engineering.
• Data entry for quote, job, and revision tracking.
  
  
  

Experience

• Two years of experience in MS Office is required.
• Two years of experience in SolidWorks and 3D Modeling CAD tools is required.
• Experience working with a team to overcome design challenges is required.
• Experience in the construction design field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in machining or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and manage workflow with minimal input from the Director of Product Engineering.
• Ability to read construction blueprints and decipher relevant data for scope of work.
• Knowledge of drafting and design theory and practices.
• Ability to interpret and formalize product drawings and sketches.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and construction practices is preferred but not required.
  
  
  

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• High School degree or GED is required.
• Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Design is preferred but not required.
