We are looking for a skilled HR and Communications Business Partner to enhance employee engagement and support our growing organization. You will work with business unit leaders to understand and support their needs, and implement strategies that positively impact recruitment, employee engagement, career planning, compliance, and retention. You will also be responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies, ensuring clear and consistent messaging, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Recommend, develop and implement HR policies and programs to support a fast paced and growing organization.
- Partner in the design and execution of various projects to manage, motivate and retain talent.
- Identify potential sources of talent and develop strategies to meet current and future needs of the organization to include pipeline programs, employee referrals, job fairs, etc.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process; develop job descriptions, post job ads, screen and interview candidates, advise hiring managers on selection and offer details, and coordinate the onboarding process.
- Participate in the development, cross-training and optimization of the HR function and act as a collaborative member of the HR team.
- Standardize practices and develop standard operating procedures for critical HR activities.
- Continuously evaluate programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and reporting requirements; partner with internal team members in the completion of annual reports such as EEO1 Report, 1094-C filings, Medicare Part D creditable coverage notices, OSHA 300 logs (and others).
- Partner with business unit and operational leaders to align and prioritize HR programs and talent initiatives to meet business objectives.
- Manage leaves of absence to include workers’ compensation claims, FMLA, ADA and leaves of absence.
- Respond to questions and concerns from teams across all departments and offer guidance on HR processes, programs, and policies.
- Update and maintain employee information in the HRIS/Payroll system.
- Conduct exit interviews and gather insights on themes, retention challenges and solutions.
- Partner with managers in addressing employee performance and disciplinary actions. Coach supervisors and leaders on best practices in employee relations and professional development issues.
- In partnership with Marketing and key stakeholders, develop and implement internal communication strategies to align employees with company goals and values.
- Create and distribute engaging content, including maintaining the company quarterly newsletter, HR announcements and maintaining the HR intranet page.
- Support HR in fostering a strong company culture through employee engagement, wellness initiatives and recognition programs.
- Gather employee feedback through surveys and focus groups and provide insights to leadership.
Profile/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or specialized training in Human Resources or related field required.
- Min. 8-10 years’ experience as a trusted HR advisor, required.
- Experience with HRIS systems required (Paycor experience a plus!)
- Experience developing performance management programs, employee engagement and training and development experience a plus.
- Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, critical thinking and analysis.
- Strong communication skills a must.
