We are seeking an Operations Manager who is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process in our manufacturing facility. This includes managing production schedules, improving operational efficiency, ensuring product quality, and leading a team of supervisors, operators, and technicians. The role demands strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure the facility meets production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and cost standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety and Compliance :
- Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and provide training to employees to minimize risks.
- Address any non-compliance issues and implement preventive measures.
Operational Management :
Plan, organize, and manage daily production operations to meet production targets.Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize resource utilization.Monitor workflow and make adjustments to ensure deadlines are met.Team Leadership :
Manage and mentor production supervisors and their teams.Recruit, train, and evaluate team members to ensure high performance.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Quality Assurance :
Ensure production processes comply with company standards and regulations.Oversee quality control processes and resolve production quality issues.Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions.Continuous Improvement :
Identify areas for operational improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.Drive initiatives to reduce costs, improve productivity, and increase efficiency.Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to improve operations.Budget and Cost Management :
Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.Monitor and control expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.Prepare financial and operational reports for senior management.Collaboration and Communication :
Work closely with other departments such as procurement, engineering, logistics, and sales to align production goals with business objectives.Serve as the main point of contact for addressing operational challenges.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Two or more years of proven success in an operations management role.Strong skills in budget development and oversight.Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and customer promise.Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications.Education / Certifications
