Position Summary

The Strategic Project/Program Manager will play a mission-critical role by managing every aspect of large-scale projects after award. Once a purchase order (PO) is received, the Strategic Project/Program Manager takes full ownership of the project, ensuring that all departments—manufacturing, service, field project management, and procurement—remain aligned and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and customers. Responsibilities:
- Lead Project Execution: Facilitate pre-activation and planning calls to define timelines, capacities, and material requirements across multiple projects, ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Drive Profitability: Monitor and manage project budgets, working closely with both internal and external teams to resolve gaps and optimize profitability.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Drive topline revenue initiatives by coordinating with Operations to ensure project timelines align with customer expectations.
- Own the Systems: Use Epicor Kinetic to create and manage sales orders, track project progress, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure Timely Delivery: Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders, ensuring that shipments to customers are correct, on time, and meet expectations.
- Identify and Resolve Issues: Track project schedules, communicate root causes of delays, and drive solutions to prevent and reduce unplanned changes.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Work closely with leadership to improve the quote-to-cash cycle and refine internal processes for better efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate and Close Projects: Lead project close-out meetings, analyzing P&L and documenting wins and opportunities for future growth.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of Project Management Experience: Proven track record managing complex large-scale projects, successfully meeting timelines and budgetary goals.
- Project management experience in data center, construction, electrical, aerospace, manufacturing, or similar industries. (Note for clarity: this is not an IT project management position).
- ERP Experience: Hands-on experience with Epicor Kinetic or similar ERP systems, with expertise in sales order management, project tracking, and financial reporting.
- Strong Work Ethic: A do-what-it-takes mentality, with the drive and dedication to shape the future of our business through your work.
- Leadership & Collaboration: 3-5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to drive strategic planning and execution.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly identify challenges, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Mastery: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate team members and stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Project Financial Management: Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, track costs and revenue, and perform profitability analyses to drive decision-making.
- Organizational Expertise: Strong time management and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities effectively in a high growth environment.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- PMP and/or CPM
- Agile Project Management experience: The ability to adapt and collaborate with a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the project life cycle.
- Experience overseeing multi-million-dollar projects in construction, data center, aerospace, or a similar fast-moving industry.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects at once.
