What are the responsibilities and job description for the South Denver: Interpreters for Parent-Teacher Conferences position at Accent on Languages?
Language Nexus (Accent on Language's sister company) is a woman-owned language company serving local entities in Denver, Colorado. We are seeking professional interpreters for parent-teacher conferences happening the week of March 10–March 14, as well as future assignments in South Denver, CO. We are especially in need of Spanish interpreters, but any language is welcomed.
Desired Qualifications:
-Must be native in the target language.
-Must be bi-cultural in addition to being bilingual.
-Minimum 1 year of experience in providing consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation
-Able to communicate properly and efficiently with second/third parties.
-Able to offer accurate and complete rendition of dialogues in both English and the target language
-Willing to undergo a background check (fingerprinting) in South Denver
Preferred Candidates will possess:
-Experience assisting SPED and IEP school meeting
-Degree in interpreting or translation
-Knowledge in technical domains such as mining, geology, geophysics, and environmental engineering
-Certifications for interpretation (CCHI, NBCMI, Court Certification, ATA Certification, ALTA, RID, etc.)
