What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overhead Crane Repair Technician / Maintenance Mechanic position at Accent Sales?
Job Description:
· Troubleshoot, repair and perform inspections on overhead cranes and hoists.
· Respond to repair calls at customer facilities.
· Evaluate problems and make repair recommendations.
· Perform inspections on overhead cranes and hoists.
· Perform preventative maintenance when necessary.
· Document work performed by completing job tickets, part requisition sheets and inspection forms. This paper work will be submitted in a timely manner and attention to accuracy is a must.
· Use good time management skills to provide good response time and perform work in a timely manner.
· Maintain company equipment including trucks, lifts and tools in a safe and proper working order.
· Verbal communication with the customer shall be in a professional, courteous and respectful manner.
· Comply with Accent’s safety policy as well as the safety requirements and procedures of each customer.
· Comply with OSHA rules and regulations.
· When driving an Accent vehicle comply with all local, state and federal requirements.
Qualifications:
· Valid commercial driver’s license or ability to get one within one month and the ability to meet our driving record requirements.
· Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings as well as DOT medical examinations.
· Willing to travel to job sites primarily in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. Some travel outside of the Midwest may be required at times.
· Ability to lift, slide and lower items that may upwards of 100 lbs.
· Ability to climb ladders and use manlifts to make necessary repairs at heights that may exceed 30 feet.
· Knowledge and experience operating various hand tools.
· Knowledge and work experience with three phase power, electrical troubleshooting, motor control logic, electrical repairs and mechanical concepts. Experience with adjustable frequency drives is a plus.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and equipment manuals as necessary to perform maintenance and repair of equipment.
