Accounting Manager
A key role in our client's growth, the Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial and accounting functions of the company. This position involves day-to-day management of the accounting department, financial reporting and record-keeping, accounts reconciliation, cash management across AR and AP, and leadership of a small 2-person accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a high-performing accounting team
• Day-to-day oversight of all financial and accounting functions
• Establish and enforce internal accounting and financial policies
• Manage annual audit and tax filings with third-party advisors
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and create comprehensive financial reports
• Execute month-end closings, controls, cost accounting, audits, and financial reporting
• Collaborate with executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities
• Foster continued professional development, one-on-one coaching, and effective accountability within the accounting team
• Perform other accounting and financial tasks as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 5 years of experience in accounting roles
• 5 years of proven supervisory/management experience
• Proficiency in Excel with data manipulation skills
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
• Professional accreditation such as CPA is desirable
• Experience working with Manufacturing teams and inventory management
• Strong leadership skills and effective communication with various departments
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
