What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Help Desk Technician position at Accentuate Staffing?

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and manage incoming helpdesk tickets, ensuring all necessary details are collected.
  • Route tickets to the appropriate internal team or external vendors.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for common technical issues, including phone, computer, and printer problems.
  • Direct employees to the correct person or department for issue resolution when appropriate.
  • Handle equipment logistics, including receiving, swapping, and managing laptops, mobile phones, and printers for incoming / outgoing employees and training events.
  • Assist with the setup and distribution of new equipment for staff as needed.

Requirements :

  • Experience in a Tier 1 IT Helpdesk role or similar entry-level IT position.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA) is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge of computer hardware, software, and printers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to work on-site Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
