Accentuate Staffing is assisting a plastics manufacturing company in the Smithfield area.
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead to oversee maintenance operations and ensure the smooth functioning of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for critical machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reducing downtime.
- Diagnose and repair issues in electrical and hydraulic systems, with a strong focus on hydraulics, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise.
- Serve as the point person for OSHA-compliant lock-out/tag-out procedures, prioritizing workplace safety.
- Lead and participate in the company's Safety Committee, fostering a proactive safety culture and promoting employee well-being.
- Perform facility maintenance tasks, including internal repairs and non-contracted projects, demonstrating resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
- Address and clean up fluid spills and oil leaks, resolving underlying mechanical issues and minimizing environmental impact.
- Participate in and lead training efforts for other maintenance staff, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Ensure consistent adherence to safety protocols and report safety hazards or incidents to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Recommend improvements to maintenance processes and product quality, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Technical training or coursework in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems is preferred.
- Proven hands-on maintenance experience, particularly with hydraulic systems, is essential.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience in an industrial maintenance role is strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of electrical wiring and mechanical systems is necessary.
- Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) is a plus.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics is required.
