The Security Specialist will work in the Security Architecture, Engineering and Risk Tower in the CISO organization. You will work directly on the AFS IT Security Engineer and Risk (ITSER) team within our tower.
The work:
- Provide day-to-day tracking of ATO projects for IT Sec Arch/Eng (ITSER). Includes input in project tracking sheets and Summary project tracker. Weekly reporting on status of all new apps toward ATO.
- Work with ITSAE lead to document strategies for ITSAE and Compliance workflows.
- Implement and interpret ITSAE work processes and successfully links them to other processes in Compliance (ConMon).
- Participate in and supports ITSAE activites such as assessments of controls for applications, and development of process improvements.
- Create documentation for new processes as needed and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) during yearly update cycle or as changes are needed.
- Collaborate with ITSAE lead and project stakeholders to review requirements and meet service objectives.
- Involved in ATO development and assess service requirements and ATO deliverables.
- Coordinate meetings with Application Stakeholder teams to gather responses for ATO documents.
- Review ATO documents for completeness and escalate to ITSAE team lead any issues. Follow up as needed.
- Attend department, tower and other meetings as assigned.
- Collaborate with others in Security Architecture, Engineering, and Risk tower.
Here's what you need:
- 2-3 years of working experience information security or relevant experience
- Experience with NIST 800-171 r2 or NIST 800-53
- Knowledge of US Security requirements
- Familiarity with policy, standard, procedure and baseline structure.
Bonus points if you have:
- 2 years of working experience in security architecture or relevant experience.
- Prior experience performing ongoing maintenance and operations of security technologies (e.g. management of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, etc.)
- Good understanding of secure web application network protocols (HTTP(S), TLS, SFTP, etc.)
- Understanding and experience with US security requirements related to regulations/standards such as NIST SP 800-171, 800-53, RMF, SOX, DFARS etc.
- Experience using Agile within project or architecture /engineering teams
- Certifications: CC, CISA
