- You'll direct and coordinate design consultants, internal SMEs, and key stakeholders to meet progress milestones and complete design packages per applicable code requirements and Data Center Reference Designs.
- You'll incorporate best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies into design frameworks.
- You'll manage zoning, entitlement, and permitting processes to ensure timely approvals according to project schedules and respond to AHJ information requests.
- You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders (real estate, engineering, operations, finance) and external consultants (architects, engineers, legal advisors) to align on project objectives and deliverables.
- You'll engage with general and MEP contractors for design reviews, constructability assessments, and cost/schedule inputs.
- You'll supervise design teams during construction administration to maintain design integrity, quality standards, and mitigate construction issues to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
- You'll implement and maintain an effective design change management process throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring improvements to Global Data Center Reference Design and Standards.
- You'll ensure data center facilities meet or exceed design intent, focusing on resilience and quality.
- You'll collaborate with Commissioning and QAQC teams to address key areas of concern and required attention.
- You'll conduct ongoing and post-project reviews to document lessons learned and share insights across the data center program.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) OR additional four (4) years of related experience
- 10 year(s) of engineering design experience, with at least 3 years managing multidiscipline design teams.
- Experience managing projects in the Data Center market.
- Experience with Design-Build and/or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction projects.
- Resident Engineer or field start-up services experience.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of scheduling software like P6.
- Strong Self-Motivation, leadership, and organizational skills
- Implementing work priorities to ensure the orderly flow of construction documentation throughout the construction process
- Advanced degree or certificates.
- Data Center construction experience.
