• You'll perform month end close and journal entries.
• You'll maintain and reconcile journal entries.
• You'll maintain monthly bank reconciliations.
• You'll reconcile month end balance sheet accounts.
• You'll implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• You'll support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation.
• You'll assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations.
• You'll analyze monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting.

• The successful candidate will minimally hold a BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• A minimum of one year of work experience in accounting strongly preferred. 

• Experience in Munis software or other governmental software / ERP is a plus
• Must be a self-starter that is reliable, responsive, professional, and have the ability to maintain long-term relationships with clients and other business professionals and handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and superior active listening skills.
• Must be learning oriented and adaptable.
• Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and to work on various assigned tasks as needed.
• Must be creative and have the ability to build upon acquired knowledge.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and Excel required, including Pivot Tables.
