The Work:


  • Help clients in Power Commodities, Natural Gas, and Renewable Energy markets transform their trading operations through process redesigns and organizational enhancements.

  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business challenges and deliver actionable recommendations.

  • Gather and analyze functional requirements to create and document effective designs for trading and risk management solutions.

  • Configure systems and participate in test planning, execution, and end-to-end system validation to ensure successful implementation.

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM/ETRM) solutions, including transaction capture, risk management, logistics, and accounting..

  • Stay informed on market dynamics in power trading, natural gas, and renewables to deliver industry-relevant insights and solutions.

  • Travel to client locations as required to ensure successful delivery and maintain strong client relationships.


  • Here's what you need:


  • 3 years of experience in the power commodity, natural gas, or renewable energy trading markets.

  • Experience and knowledge of US wholesale power RTOs (CAISO, NYISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, etc.). Exposure to Day Ahead/Real Time markets, LMP Pricing, Capacity markets, and ISO Settlements.

  • Familiarity with trading operations, including scheduling, nominations, and settlement processes in power and natural gas markets.

  • A Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business processes.

  • Proven experience collaborating with clients to gather functional requirements and design trading solutions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to client locations.


  • Bonus Points if you have:


  • Knowledge of Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM/ETRM) systems, including transaction capture, risk management, logistics, and accounting. These can include OpenLink Endur, or Allegro.

  • Familiarity with renewable energy trading processes, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), and carbon markets.

  • Hands-on experience in implementing digital or data-driven solutions to optimize trading operations.

  • Advanced certifications or education, such as an MBA, CFA, or relevant industry certifications

  • A passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of trends in the energy transition, such as decarbonization and renewable integration


  • Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
