Job Description
The ACCEPT Board of Directors invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Interim Executive Director for the 2025-2026 school year. The ACCEPT collaborative educates about 124 students from 34 communities across the metrowest area, with 15 of those communities being member districts. ACCEPT provides special education classroom programs, transportation, home-based and consultation services, Medicaid reimbursement, professional development and education technology services. The collaborative employs approximately 200 full- and part-time, professional and support staff.
The successful candidate must exhibit a record of strong leadership skills at the administrative or central office level and/or at another collaborative. They must have demonstrated evidence of helping learners to achieve their full educational potential, including their academic, social, emotional and behavioral learning. The candidate should also have a record of building successful teams and developing strong, collaborative relationships with those they interact with. While a master’s degree is required, a Ph.D or Ed.D is preferred. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensing as a Superintendent of Schools in Massachusetts.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher, doctorate preferred
Licensure and minimum of three years of proven leadership as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Executive Director, or a Director of Student Services;
Demonstrated success in the design, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs and services;
Expertise in budgeting, experience in all aspects of finance and operations
Evidence of helping learners to achieve their full educational potential
Competencies:
Strong grounding in state-required teaching and learning requirements and K-12 curriculum expectations
Experience in coordinating/facilitating adult learning through professional development offerings
Collaborative leadership style that promotes team-building among staff and all major stakeholders in
the ACCEPT districts;
Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills;
Skill to manage transportation services with a fleet of 60 vehicles and 53 drivers;
Dexterity to manage communications and coordinate services among the 15 member districts as well as services for non-member districts;
Ability to grow ACCEPT’s branding to increase student enrollment;
Capacity to manage the on-site physical space at the Collaborative's home campus as well as the associated details of the lease;
Coordination of all aspects of off-site programs and services
