This includes thoroughly assessing our clients' global environmental obligations, managing their registrations, coordinating recycling solutions, as well as conducting in-depth data analysis and reporting. We are trusted advisors and partners to our customers providing clarity for complex information.

 

The Role

This role is for a curious learner with a keen interest in the growing world of international EPR (WEEE/e-waste, batteries, and packaging) and product environmental sustainability. You will be providing data management, support, and advisory services for our internal team and our clients. You will work on a wide range of topics and activities supporting our client base in compliance with these global laws working in our downtown Boulder, Colorado office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide research, analysis, and consulting in the specialized area of EPR including global e-waste/WEEE, battery, and packaging legislation
  • Develop expertise and in-depth practical and legal understanding of country EPR systems, processes, and rules
  • Manage client-specific implementations of compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with national environmental compliance authorities and organizations in multiple countries to obtain information and arrange registrations
  • Document, review, and improve processes
  • Maintain our compliance database, customer files, and other related information across several software applications
  • Deliver excellent service to our multi-national client base via regular communication and meetings
  • Work with data to complete client reporting requirements

 

 

Profile

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

Essential:

  • Interest in regulatory compliance issues and procedures, especially those impacting product and packaging compliance
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, flexible, and takes ownership and pride in work
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent project and relationship management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Keen to grow and expand your function, and are not afraid to contribute to projects outside your core job function
  • Enjoy working as a subject matter expert, digging into details, and are not satisfied until you are 100% certain you have a clear understanding of the topic
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools, including Excel, and analytically strong
  • Ability and interest to work with an international and high-performing team
  • Ability to anticipate industry trends, identify opportunities and challenges for our clients and propose effective solutions
  • Find satisfaction in developing tools and processes to create efficiency and solve problems
  • English fluency with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of additional languages is a strong plus
  • Available full-time in our downtown Boulder office. This role is a 100% in-office role


Preferred:

  • Open to diverse work and educational backgrounds including environmental studies, legal, policy, engineering, political science, international affairs, economics, business, finance, liberal arts, etc.
  • Experience in environmental and regulatory matters
  • Experience with product compliance
  • Knowledge in liaising with public authorities and (private) service providers
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Fluency in second language including Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Arabic or any other language
