Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of high-performance Machine Learning Engineers
- Ensure on-time delivery of solutions that meet business goals
- Define repeatable architectural patterns for both real-time and batch systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines
- Present results to stakeholders and executives as needed
- Collaborate with the Data Science, Big Data, and DevOps teams
- Elevate team performance through mentoring, training, code reviews, and unit testing
- Take ownership of multiple simultaneous initiatives, propose solutions, and be accountable for projects from inception to completion.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 6 years of experience in software engineering in an enterprise setting
- Experience in an object-oriented language such as Python or Java
- Strong Relational database skills in SQL such as JDBC/Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Experience in deploying ML models in production and familiarity with MLOps
- 2 years of experience in Spark and/or NoSQL databases
- High-volume transactional environment experience
- Understanding statistics and Machine Learning concepts such as traditional ML algorithms, Generative ML algorithms, Concept drift and decay, A|B Testing, etc.
- Big Data components/frameworks like HDFS, Spark 3.0, etc.
- Potential salary range: $200-220K. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- This role is eligible for remote US-based (work-from-home) locations. Chicago-based candidates would work in a hybrid capacity from the Accertify HQ in Itasca, IL.
- Visa Sponsorship: employment eligibility to work for Accertify in the U.S. is required, as Accertify will not pursue Visa sponsorship for this position.
