Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Duties
- Provide first-line support to users experiencing hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to operating systems, LAN, and computer networking.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure components.
- Manage help desk tickets using remedy software, ensuring timely resolution of user requests.
- Conduct regular maintenance on computer hardware and peripherals.
- Monitor firewall settings and ensure network security protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Document solutions and maintain knowledge base articles for future reference.
- Assist in the research and documentation of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance
Experience
- Proficiency in troubleshooting various operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Experience with computer hardware setup, repair, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with LAN configurations and computer networking principles.
- Previous experience in an IT support role or help desk environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of firewall management and IT infrastructure best practices is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels of technical expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
- Maintain documentation and accurately report project activities.
- Strong reading comprehension skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
