JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager/Project Superintendent (QCM/PS), to join our team on a minor construction project in Cannon Airforce Base, NM. The QCM/PS, is responsible for managing and implementing the Quality Control program, enforcing on-site construction activities for the assigned job site, managing construction crews, documenting production, ensuring construction deadlines are met, within budget, and to the required safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
DUTIES
- Ensure quality control testing is performed and provide QC Certifications and documentation
-Responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentation performed by QC Specialists, Testing Lab Personnel and any other inspection and testing QC activities.
-Manage construction projects from start to close, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones
- Develop and maintain project schedules to meet project deadlines; create work schedules for workers and subcontractors, using ACG project management software
- Interpret and review shop drawings and ensure compliance with specifications, plans and schedule requirements and deadlines
- Conduct quality control checks to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Initiate agreements/contracts; Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to OSHA guidelines, conduct safety meetings
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, schedules, and other relevant data; document and report daily activities. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates to all Stakeholders
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and building codes
QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability
-Demonstrated, strong understanding of construction methods and techniques
-Demonstrated, in-depth, understanding of local, state and federal construction regulations
-Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, construction plans and shop drawings
- Familiarity with project scheduling software such as MS Project and or Primavera preferred
- Experience with budgeting and cost control
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality control procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
-Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
