Lead Installation Technician - Gates
The Lead Installation Technician is an essential role for Guardian Access Solutions, specifically our Gates division; this role assists the Lead Installation Technician with project installations within our residential & commercial gates, access control, and security cameras divisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for prepping the area for installation
- Understands networking access control devices
- Assist with loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and supplies for the job
- Oversees cost effectiveness and proper disposal of leftover materials
- Responsible for keeping company vehicle clean and noitifies the Manager with any issues regarding the vehicle
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner
- Willingness to learn new products
- Demonstrates strong customer service and collaborates seamlessly within a team setting
- Regular attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibility
- Adherence to safety guidelines and policies
- Other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 years of electrical/access control industry/automatic gate/CCTV/low-voltage experience is required
- Experience in the following is preferred: gate operation, concrete work, fence or gate installation, underground loops and loop detectors, maglocks and strikes, entry systems/access control/security cameras, Wiegand readers and credentials, welding
- Familiarity with brands including Viking, Liftmaster, DoorKing, Linear, and Speco is preferred
- Familiar with computers, networks, installation of access control devices, cameras, programming, and access controls systems
- As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel out of town for projects
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements, including Florida heat, for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week
- Ability to understand, speak and write English

- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee will respond to service tickets in a timely manner and communicate before and after with customers when services have been completed. The employee will drive safely in a hectic city environment and enter and exit various parking garages and decks to perform services and installations. The employee may occasionally have to lift and/or move up to eighty pounds. The employee will be expected to work with a crew or independently to perform services or installations. The employee may on occasion have to work out of state.
