Lead Installation Technician
The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for leading a small access control installation team to complete project installations to the customer’s satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises installation team while leading projects relating to access control, parking, gates, and overhead doors
- Responsible for prepping the area for installation
- Understands networking access control devices
- Responsible for training from start to finish on jobsite
- Assign tasks to workers and adheres to installation schedule
- Communicates with customers and/or refer to Project Manager
- Oversees loading and unloading of tools, equipment, and supplies for the job
- Oversees cost effectiveness and proper disposal of leftover materials
- Responsible for operating company vehicle in a safe manner while maintaining cleanliness; will notify supervisor with any issues regarding the vehicle
- Willingness to learn new products
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Regular and punctual attendance at work and provides appropriate flexibility
- Adherence to safety guidelines and policies
- Other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years’ experience in access control and cameras
- Previous experience in leadership at a supervisor/manager level
- Familiar with computers, networks, and installation of access control devices, cameras, programming, and access controls systems
- As a condition of employment, employer will conduct a background check and drug screen prior to hire
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to different work schedule, including on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather elements for 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week
- Ability to understand, speak and write English
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Technical school experience is highly preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Pay Range: negotiable, based on experience
- Hours: approximately 7am-4pm (seasonal OT encouraged)
- Must provide basic tools (we provide the rest)
- On-call shifts and offsite travel is required
- PTO and Holiday pay provided
- Weekly payroll; paid every Friday!
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a fast-paced warehouse setting and in the field with frequent interruptions. The employee is required to stand, walk, dig, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Duties may require standing and walking for long periods of time. The employee is expected to work alongside the crew and demonstrate the install and/or service process when necessary. Frequent need to drive a vehicle to other work locations is expected.
