Assist with general labor tasks for both the Greenhouse and Buildings & Grounds departments.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with team members to complete tasks assigned by the Greenhouse Manager and Buildings & Grounds Manager.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including mowing, digging, and moving plants for up to 2 hours without breaks.
- Wear appropriate safety gear, including closed-toe shoes, and sun protection (e.g., sunglasses and hats).
- Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed, including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection (provided).
- Lift heavy items with team members when required.
- Operate equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and hedge trimmers, or learn to operate them as necessary.
- Communicate any schedule changes with managers promptly.
- Treat all coworkers with respect, regardless of ability.
- Demonstrate trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Ask for help when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to communicate via text and phone.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in heat and humidity.
- Capable of using tools safely and effectively.
