We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to work in a SAFe Agile environment to deliver medium to high complexity projects utilizing the SAFe Agile delivery framework for our healthcare client.
The main scope work for the Project Manager is to manage and support one of the client's critical IT teams to a successful delivery of the agreed project scope. This includes driving the project and tracking progress via multiple processes.

About the Role:
- 12-month contract (end of 2025) with strong potential to extend/convert
- Flexible hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite, only on the 2nd week of the month)

Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of and tracking against schedule
- Managing risks and issues
- Managing creation and tracking of budget
- Communicating effectively to IT and business leadership
- Appropriate escalation of issues with leadership
- Creation of all applicable project artifacts
- Managing projects with geographically diverse teams
- Facilitates the team to successfully plan and execute deliverables using Agile techniques.
- Responsible for managing the overall planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives performed by agile team.
- Leads, plans, schedules, tracks, and manages project deliverables, goals, and milestones; adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Assesses risks and creates strategies for risk mitigation and project contingency planning.
- Designs and maintains technical and project documentation.
- Identifies and resolves project issues; ensures appropriate communication to project stakeholders.
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate.
- Leads/participates in quarterly Program Increment planning sessions.
- Support cross-team coordination.
- Provides relevant metrics to gauge team progress with a continual focus on improvement
- Manages project scope and the change control process as appropriate.
- Delivers/coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.
- Monitors, reviews, and/or appropriately escalates functional, quality, and timeline issues.
- Develops and executes procurement management plan in association with Procurement and the vendor management plan.
- Provides project forecasting of project duration, project performance to date, overall project cost, priorities, milestones, capacity.
- Develops financial management plan to ensure projects are correlated to the budgets that fund them, financial information is transparent and budget, actual spend and variance calculations are tracked and communicated.
- Implements project and quality assurance reviews in accordance with IT guidelines to ensure profitable and successful execution.
- Ensures project plans and all project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Participates in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise.
- Keeps track of lessons learned during the life of the project and facilitates a discussion/review at the end of project as part of closing the project out.
- Travel could be up to 25%.
- Knows, understands, and follows teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.
- Holds/attends team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred!
- Bachelor’s degree in related area required or a combination of education and progressively responsible work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis
- Minimum of five (5) years’ IT experience required including:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience managing IT projects
- Demonstrated experience in resource management and change management techniques required
- Project Management Professional certification or completion of another recognized project management certification (preferred)
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Project required; intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
