What is this role about?
The Business Intelligence Developer plays a key role in supporting McGraw Hill Education’s business intelligence and data services to deliver actionable insights for accurate financial reporting, performance monitoring, and informed business decisions. This position focuses on developing dynamic reporting solutions, leveraging technologies such as Oracle Exadata, Informatica, Business Objects, Tableau, and Alteryx. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, with a strong emphasis on creating effective reporting tools. Our team encourages expertise across multiple core technologies and values individuals who can introduce innovative, next-generation solutions to drive business results.
This is a remote position open to applicants currently authorized to work for any employer within the United States . Preference will be given to those residing in Columbus, Ohio.
What can you expect from the position?
Design, develop and administer business intelligence / data warehousing applications to support the growing demand for business insight generated by traditional reporting, as well as, next generation analytical capabilities.
Analyze problem statements, suggest various options to address the problem specifying functionality, integrating systems, applying patches and participating in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Analyze and translate business requirements to functional specifications and provide recommendations and right solution design. Develop Functional and technical design specifications and documents.
Interact with client, developers and IT peers to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of modifications into the production environment.
We’re looking for someone with :
2 years in business and information technology support with a focus on developing and delivering Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions to support a decision management function.
2 years in design, development, and / or administration of Alteryx.
Experience integrating Oracle E-Business Suite with reporting / business intelligence solutions is required.
2 years in design, development, and / or administration of informatics or IICS.
2 years of experience in database scripting using Oracle (PL / SQL, Procedures).
2 years of experience in Python, scala & data bricks.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
BI / Data Analytics / Data Architecture / Big Data certifications are a plus.

The pay range for this position is between $89,150 - $115,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan is provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and / or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
