What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elevator Electronics Repair Technician position at Access Electronics Inc.?
An industrial electronics repair facility, Access Electronics, located in Waldorf, MD, is looking for a full-time repair technician and/or electronic engineer. This technician will repair electronic circuit boards, AC and DC motor drives, power supplies, PLC's and other electromechanical devices used in the elevator industry.
Work Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent military training in electronics or electrical engineering is preferred. Experience with re-flow and re-work solder equipment to remove and replace through-hole and surface mount components. Ability to read electronic schematics and troubleshoot to component level. Ability to use electronic test equipment and hand tools associated with electrical and electronic repairs. Attention to detail. Work well with others. Mechanical ability is a plus.
Work Environment:
Access Electronics is a small business with about 25 employees. Technicians will spend most of their day at a workbench, troubleshooting and repairing elevator circuit boards and other electronic devices. All equipment is repaired and tested in-house using real-world simulators.
Physical Requirements:
20/20 vision, either natural or corrected. Excellent communication skills with co-workers and customers. Ability to sit or stand for multiple hours. Able to bend over, twist, push, pull, walk, climb stairs and lift 50lbs. Self-motivated.
Details:
Full-time, 40 hours per week position from 7 am-4 pm Monday through Friday. Over time hours possible. All work is performed in our Waldorf facility; no travel is required. Holiday pay and earned paid vacation. 401K retirement plan with employer contributions. Health insurance is available, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage. Performance-based bonuses.
