Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
- Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by the provider.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and post-care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Certification or Registration: Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent), preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
