What are the responsibilities and job description for the LTC Pharmacy Technician position at Access Family Pharmacy?
Access Family Pharmacy is the oldest family owned pharmacy still in operation in Chattanooga. We take pride in our local roots and maintain our family values while continuing to grow the business. We offer many services, including a closed-door, long term care pharmacy. This department packages medicines for patients in long term care facilities. As this department expands its service area, we are finding a need to add to our team. Specifically, we are looking for someone to run the machine that packs the patients' meds. This is a repetitive task, so we need someone who likes routine in their work day. We also need someone who enjoys working in a team setting.
This is a pharmacy technician position, but no experience is required. Candidates MUST BE RELIABLE. It's a small department, so unplanned absences are substantially detrimental to the team and to patient care. This is a full time position; the schedule is Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. The starting pay is $14 to $15 per hour.

Duties:
- Package meds using packing machine
- Take new prescriptions, changes to prescriptions, etc (if certified)
- Manage med lists and E-MARs
- Answering phone calls (could be doctors, facilities, patients, family members, etc)
- Manage drug inventory
