POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible to ensure cash transactions are posted timely and accurately. Additional duties include reconciliation of front collections, including cash, credit card and checks, making bank deposits, communication with offices and billing companies, training new accounting clerk employees, providing receipt information to the controller, filing and maintaining records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIIES
Count and reconcile cash payments from clinic offices
Make banking deposits
Reconcile daily credit card transactions
Post ALL cash transactions into accounting system
Provide Controller with requested cash related reports
Work amicably with others
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education or Formal Training: HS Diploma or General Education Degree
Experience: Minimum of 3 years prior cash handling and posting experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to think critically and solve problems
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience working in a shared services center in a rapidly growing company or division with geographically dispersed business units
· Experience in providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
· Must be able to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timely and efficient manner
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices in a results-driven approach
· Excellent time and project management skills
· Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
· A high level of integrity and trust
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and procurement systems
Physical Demands:
Must be able to frequently move, stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally. The noise level of the work environment is quiet to moderate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
