RN- Infusion- NO WEEKENDS
ONCOLOGY CENTER
Summary: Responsible for administering IV infusions as well as assessing, evaluating, and providing direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols and physicians’ orders.
Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Administering IV infusions in accordance with physicians’ orders, and documents patient care in the EMR
2. Assess and identify patient health concerns through patient interaction in person or by telephone, and relays concerns to the physician
3. Develops and participates in educating patients, caregivers, and loved ones on the patient treatment and care plan
4. Keeps current on advances in treatments and nursing care by participating in educational programs
5. Prepare and administer medications as needed/directed by a physician.
6. Utilizes knowledge of medications, procedures, and safety precautions in patient care
7. Intervenes in crisis situations
8. Customer Service – Greets all pts with a smile, listens intently and responds politely in a timely manner. Ensures pts needs are met at all times and treats everyone with respect, Work amicably with others.
9. Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education/Experience:
Associates Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred), current FL State Registered Nurse license, one year of Oncology experience preferred
Certificates and Licenses:
BCLS and CPR Certification
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledge of the structure of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar are imperative for the accurate documentation/recording of information. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and be able to follow patient care procedures.
Customer and Personal Service:
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Will be involved with resolving conflicts and negotiating with others.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be alerted to plan, organize, and prioritize work as well as have the ability to monitor processes, materials, or surroundings.
