What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Access Healthcare Staffing & Recruitment?
ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE:

- Assisting/giving complete or partial tub and/or shower baths.
- Providing oral hygiene, including care of dentures.
- Providing care of the hair.
- Turning and positioning patients.
- Assisting with eating.
- Assisting/encouraging client to follow exercise program.
- Assisting with ROM (Range of Motion) exercises.
- Supervising ADL (Activities of Daily Living).
- Assisting with ambulation.
- Assisting patients to chairs, bed, stretcher and commode.
- Giving back rubs.
- Taking and reporting TPR.
- Making occupied, unoccupied and preoperative beds.
- Assisting in preparing patients for surgery.
- Distributing drinking water.
- Giving bedpans and urinals.
- Measuring and recording intake and output.
- Collecting urine and stool specimens.
- Testing urine for sugar and acetone.
- Providing morning and evening care.
- Assisting with postmortem care.
- Cleaning a patient’s unit.
- Keeping a record of observations and care given.
- Informing charge nurse of changes in patient’s condition.
- Safeguarding equipment and supplies.

The Nursing Assistants with additional training and performance may assist with certain procedures. Only Nursing Assistants with documented skills in performing these functions may:
- Take and report blood pressure.
- Apply hot water bottles.
- Treat decubiti if no medication is applied.
- Apply ice bags.
- Give enemas.
- Insert rectal tubes.
- Administer oxygen by nasal cannula or mask.
- Apply binders and Ace bandages.
- Give gastrostomy tube feedings.
- Nursing Assistant may not:
- Administer medications.
- Irrigate urinary catheters.
- Give nasogastric tube feedings.
- Perform any duties or procedures which require the skills or education of a licensed nurse.
Experience:
- CNA Experience: 1 year (Required)
Salary : $19 - $27
