Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients while managing a team of pharmacy professionals. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient service, and a thorough understanding of pharmacy practices in specialty Pharmacy settings.
Duties
- Supervise and manage pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine medication needs and ensure appropriate medication administration.
- Oversee critical care protocols and provide specialized services in pediatrics as needed.
- Implement aseptic techniques in the preparation of sterile products and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management.
- Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Provide immunization services as part of comprehensive patient care.
- Mentor pharmacy residents and support their professional development within the pharmacy setting.
- Ensure high levels of patient service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Experience
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Active pharmacist license in Nevada in good standing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of pharmacy experience, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Previous leadership or management experience required.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, medication management, and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered service.
