Job Summary
Access Management is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to support our accounting operations for both community associations and long-term rental properties. This role will assist in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple accounts across homeowner associations (HOAs) and rental properties.
Responsibilities
Community Association Management Accounting:
- Assist in processing homeowner assessment payments, dues, and late fees.
- Record and track accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) for HOAs.
- Reconcile bank statements, reserve accounts, and operating funds for associations.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for HOA boards and property owners.
- Communicate with homeowners regarding billing inquiries and payment plans.
- Process rent payments, security deposits, and late fees from tenants.
- Track property management fees, owner disbursements, and vendor payments.
- Assist in preparing monthly owner statements and financial summaries.
- Maintain accurate records for lease agreements, tenant balances, and maintenance expenses.
- Reconcile trust accounts in accordance with state real estate regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Reconcile credit card transactions and petty cash accounts.
- Assist in budget preparation for both associations and rental properties.
- Support annual audits and tax preparation.
- Communicate with vendors, property owners, and HOA board members regarding financial matters.
- Experience: 1-3 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or property management finance.
- Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Vantaca or Enumerate is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Ability to manage multiple HOA accounts and rental property ledgers.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred: Experience in community association management, property management, or real estate accounting.
Salary : $15,000
