What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Director - Physician position at Access Medical Clinic LLC?
We are seeking to hire a Physician - Medical Director for LTC facilities in the Heber Springs, AR Area.
Responsibilities:
- Assumes medical directorships for skilled facilities.
- Provides collaborating physician duties for nurse practitioners and physician assistants (based on state regulatory parameters).
- Provides high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings in partnership with non-physician practitioner and other interprofessional team members.
- Assists company leaders in various programs to promote quality of medical services.
- Keeps a high focus on key practitioner and company level outcomes including but not limited to care path compliance and productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers and decrease in polypharmacy and costs of care.
- Keeps in regular communication with the VP of Provider Management.
- Attends operations meetings as requested by the CEO.
- As requested, participates in the review of attaining desired health outcomes for the designated region.
- Based on state and regional regulatory frameworks, audits a percentage of practitioner medical orders and/ or documentation for each midlevel provider under oversight.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and is a Doctor of Medicine.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics.
- Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
- Valid license to practice medicine.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and illustrating abilities.
- Excellent computer and electronic record-keeping skills.
- Excellent organizational and management skills.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and cognitive abilities.
