Summary
The Agency RN will be responsible for performing needed supervisory and direct service duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Employment is contingent upon clear background checks. Employment is contingent upon maintaining a current license (R.N.) in Minnesota, as well as maintaining good standing with the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Employment is contingent upon providing agency evidence of a degree in a relatedarea as well as clear background checks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory, Administrative, and Program Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible to plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning with regards to clients health, medical needs (Diabetic Training, Medication Administration Training, Bloodborne Pathogens, Lifting), and trainings in accordance with MN DHS Statute
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as vital signs monitoring, medication administration, wound care, and assisting with client hygiene.
- Available as a resource for information and consultation on client health needs.
- Monitors medication administration records and incident reports and assists with record audits.
- Oversight of agency standing order supply, first aid kits at client sites and within the agency.
- Must be able to maintain confidential and HIPAA related information.
- Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Documentation Responsibilities:
- Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Maintain detailed records, including observations, interventions, and medication administration.
- Will be responsible for accurately using the agencies time and attendance system and completing expense reports in a timely fashion

JOB PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS
Agency RN may be required to meet the following required physical demands of this position:
- Some work environment conditions are indoor office work. This position is required to sit at a desk and write or use computer and speak on telephone. The setting is normal office sounds (i.e.: phones ringing, printers, conversations and intercom) with varying indoor climates.
- Position also includes off-site client environments that vary from indoor to outdoor conditions depending on client needs and seasonal weather. Some sites are very quiet, and others are very loud. Shall meet the following required physical demands of this position: Stand, walk, run, climb stairs, sit, use hands and fingers, kneel, crouch, physically restrain (when directed by supervisor), talk and hear, taste and smell. (Some transferring or lifting of clients may be required.) Close and distant vision is required.
Training Requirements
Shall annually complete the required hours of training.
Qualifications

- Maintaining a current license (R.N.) in Minnesota, as well as maintaining good standing with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- Applicants must also have a valid Driver's License, auto insurance, and an operating vehicle.
