About Us

At Access Pacific Inc., we specialize in public works and infrastructure projects, delivering high-quality road construction services with a focus on efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship. Our work includes demolition, grading, concrete, asphalt paving, and minor landscaping repairs, as well as coordination with subcontractors for traffic striping, signals, and street lighting.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented Foreman to lead and manage field crews while ensuring seamless project execution. This position is best suited for someone with hands-on field experience and strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage not just labor and equipment but also planning, coordination, and communication.

Position Overview

The Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day field operations while also ensuring that work aligns with project schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations. This is more than a traditional foreman role—while you will be actively managing crews in the field, you will also collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to plan ahead, problem-solve, and drive efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong technical understanding of road construction and a high level of comfort with construction technology, scheduling, and field documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations & Crew Management

  • Supervise and direct in-house crews to ensure productivity, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee roadway demolition, grading, paving, concrete installation, and minor landscaping restoration.
  • Verify and interpret civil plans, layouts, and elevations to ensure work is completed accurately.
  • Provide hands-on problem-solving when site issues arise, making necessary field adjustments.
  • Manage and coordinate work with subcontractors performing traffic striping, signals, lighting, and other specialty trades.

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with project managers to align daily tasks with overall project timelines and goals.
  • Prepare and update lookahead schedules to anticipate and mitigate delays.
  • Attend weekly construction meetings to report progress, raise concerns, and discuss scheduling.
  • Maintain clear communication with inspectors, clients, and the public, ensuring professionalism in all interactions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Lead by example in enforcing safety protocols, particularly traffic control and work zone safety.
  • Conduct site safety meetings and toolbox talks, ensuring that all team members understand and adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding workplace safety, environmental protection, and construction standards.

Technology & Documentation

  • Utilize construction software such as Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Teams to document progress, manage schedules, and track materials.
  • Maintain daily field reports, labor tracking, and issue logs.
  • Support the integration of digital tools to enhance efficiency in project tracking and reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil or road construction with direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of grading, paving, traffic control, and concrete construction techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and elevations to ensure accurate execution.
  • Proficiency in construction technology, including Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Teams, and scheduling software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating work with subcontractors and external stakeholders.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to outdoor environments, including extreme weather, dust, and noise.
  • Ability to work in an active construction zone, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
