APM Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our customers see upon arrival, and the last person our customers see when they depart. Description:
The Valet Supervisor oversees valet attendants and the flow of the day-to-day valet operations, under the direction of the Director of Operations to always ensure a professional valet experience.Also, parking and retrieving guest vehicles, as well as serving guests in a hospitable manner to ensure positive guest encounters during arrival and departure.
Valet Supervisor Duties:
- Greets guests in a friendly manner (e.g., ideally by name) and is responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution during the shift.
- Investigate allowances and discrepancies, reporting issues to the manager when necessary.
- Park and retrieve guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner; use claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery of the vehicle.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
- Load and unload luggage carts and vehicles when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Other related duties that may be assigned by a Director of Operations from time-to-time.
- The Valet Supervisor will be expected to work varying hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, etc.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Strong customer service experience.
- Parking industry experience is preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to drive a car.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Willingness to be flexible.
- Capable of working alone on a shift or with one or more other valets.
- Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
- Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
- Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands:
- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
