Job Position: Patient Coordinator
Job Location: 100 Hospital Road, Suite 112, Patchogue, NY 11772
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Description: $17.00-$20.00/hour, based on experience
- Ensure an amazing patient experience through friendly, enthusiastic, and professional service with all patients, team members and external partners.
- Answer telephone calls, greet patients and visitors upon arrival, and provide excellent customer service for all questions or concerns.
- Articulate the services and products available in the clinic.
- Register new patients in line with acceptable standards of the clinic, support patients in completing medical forms at the clinic to avoid errors and inaccurate information.
- Maintain the patient’s electronic medical record and coordinate the scheduling of the patient’s future appointments with all providers as directed.
- Collect payment at the time of service and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Request and track authorizations for all funding streams to ensure approval.
- Produce accurate and timely end of day reports.
- Attend team meetings or events as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and exp.
- Medical receptionist experience a plus
- EMR scheduling software knowledge a plus
- EPIC software knowledge is a plus
- Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
