Security Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering and Architecture department by assisting in the design, implementation, integration, and enhancement of various information technology systems. You will work closely with your department to ensure the smooth operation of technology infrastructure and contribute to the overall efficiency of both the organization and its client’s systems.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Architects, designs, and implements technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Analyzes and recommends security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management lifecycle of information systems, and monitors for compliance.
• Analyzes and recommends security controls and procedures in business processes related to use of information systems and assets, and monitors for compliance.
• Collaborate with senior personnel to escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.
• Creates user and administration guides and manuals to facilitate end-user understanding of systems.
• Works collaboratively with other team members on projects and tasks.
• Communicates effectively with end-users to gather information and understand their technical needs.
• Stays updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Assist in researching and evaluating new technologies that could benefit the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience in related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience.
